Bands and individual musicians need video content to gain fans, promote themselves and build a following. It’s always a great idea to have a professional promotional video for an EPK (electronic press kit). That can be done in a myriad of ways. A live band can be filmed as long as there is good lighting, sound and camera that can be used. Filming in our music studio against a green screen is another great option. Why film at a music studio using a green screen?

  1. Controlled Environment: The lighting, sound and movements of the band are all controlled in an indoor environment. At some outside locations, a band may not have full control of their lighting and sometimes even the sound.
  2. Access to Equipment and Facilities: A music studio offers professional video and sound equipment onsite. We don’t need to run around looking for something since it is already set up for your performance.
  3. Professional Assistance: Working in a studio means you have access to a professional sound engineer, videographer and more.  If you want a true promotional video, you need this!
  4. Efficiency and Convenience: Filming in a music studio typically takes less time and has an added convenience of getting things done in one shot. Oftentimes, a band might want multiple venues filmed showing variety but with a green screen, we are able to put you in any setting you choose.
  5. Creative Freedom: A music studio allows a band to create the exact look and feel that they want that may not be possible in a live performance.

Creating a music video in a music studio allows bands or individual musicians to create the exact look and feel that they want in a controlled environment, using professional equipment, a sound engineer and videographer. While we at BatCat Media offer the filming of live bands at South Florida venues and bands at our music studio, we recognize the positives of both. A music director can share what the band is looking for and we will point them in the right direction. For more information, contact Jack at (561)276-4422 or Jack@BatCatMedia.com.
